Rossmoor Woman's Club aids Bethune Program for homeless and foster kids in Long Beach

The Rossmoor Woman's Club recently donated $1,720 worth of supplies and gift cards to the Bethune Homeless Education Program for homeless and foster care students in the Long beach School District. The club's Susan Pagett, far left, and Lorena Bartlett delivered the goods to Bethune staff, on the right. The program provides mental health assessment and support, uniform assistance, backpacks, school supplies, personal necessities, tutoring, district and community resources and referrals, advocacy, enrollment support, and any other assistance students may need to access their education in the same way as their housed peers.
