Rossmoor Woman's Club members Sandy Tessier and Kathryn Atkins thanked Hiten Adhvaryu, owner of Quality Assured Collision in Hawaiian Gardens, for donating an inside-and-out car detailing to our Holiday Home Tour raffle. The service was valued at $250. Thanks to Hiten for helping our club raise money to help others! Rossmoor Woman's Club members were part of the fun at the Rossmoor Winter Festival Dec. 13! As we handed out candy to little ones, we joined Santa, the Grinch, and Olaf from "Frozen" in making things merry and bright for hundreds of families who came to enjoy the (fake) snow, pony rides, petting zoo, craft vendors, music and food trucks! Sunday was a beautiful day for the Rossmoor Woman's Club's annual Holiday Home Tour fundraiser, which has been a neighborhood tradition for more than 30 years. What a treat when a color guard from Sunburst Youth Academy kicked off our November Rossmoor Woman's Club meeting! Cadet Miller led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and sang what many of us said is the best a capella version of "The Star Spangled Banner" that we've ever heard! We are ready to say "thank you" to our military veterans. Rossmoor Woman's Club member Karen Swenson delivered 227 cards from club members to Desmond Kennedy, chief of Development and Civic Engagement at the Long Beach VA Medical Center, so they can be distributed on Veterans Day next week.
