RWC Plays Santa in Los Alamitos and Rossmoor

The Rossmoor Woman’s Club played Santa on Dec. 12 giving out $2,000 in one day! At the Los Alamitos Chamber Of Commerce holiday breakfast, club President Susan Denley surprised Art Garcia, owner of Madera’s Steakhouse restaurant, with a $1,000 check to go towards the holiday dinner he prepares and serves to veterans. Joining Susan at the breakfast were Cathy Fagen, left in photo, Lorena Bartlett, Michelle Wittenberg and Beverly Rigney. A few hours later, several members attended the Sunburst Academy graduation ceremony, where Lorena presented Sunburst’s Mary Lou Vachet with $1,000 to aid the military-style program that helps academically-troubled teens get on the track to success. Karen Swenson, left, and Sue Owen helped Lorena present the check.
