RWC Donates goods, cash to Long Beach Rescue Mission

The Rossmoor Woman's Club donated $1,056 worth of clothing, toys and hygiene items to the Long Beach Rescue Mission, which offers shelter, food, training and other services to homeless men, women and children. In addition, the club donated $1,000 to Lydia House, the mission's shelter for women. Club members Yolanda Vargas, center, and Joy Le Compte made the delivery, which was accepted by Jeff Levine, the mission's president and CEO.

The cash donation is part of more than $37,000 the club raised and is donating to local charities and student scholarships in the 2024-25 fiscal year.
