Los Alamitos High Seniors Honored

The Rossmoor Woman’s Club honored Los Alamitos High School senior Alexandra Biddle as its Student of the Month for February, presenting her with a $600 scholarship at a meeting on March 11. Alexandra is a leader in both the Sound FX choral program and the Link Crew group, which welcomes incoming freshmen. She is also a member of the California Scholarship Federation, National Honors Society and Spanish Honors Society. Outside of school, she volunteers as a youth leader at St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Alexandra plans to attend Boston College in the fall, where she will major in communications.

Mitchell Hein, the RWC’s Student of the Month for March, did not attend the meeting, but he is a straight A student with a passion for community service. With more than 12 years in the Boy Scouts, Mitchell achieved Eagle Scout rank by completing a facilities improvement project at his church, Hope United Methodist. Mitchell is on the LAHS varsity track team and ran more than 1,000 miles during the cross country season. He hopes to study aeronautical engineering and math in college.
