RWC Gives Gift of Dr. Seuss

RWC President Maggie Paul and members Sandy Tessier and Susan Denley visited the Long Beach Day Nursery on April 3 to deliver Dr. Seuss books our members donated as part of a GFWC multi-year reading initiative.

The trio presented the books to the nursery's associate director Sara Vicente before Maggie had a chance to read to a few of the children.

Established in 1912, the Long Beach Day Nursery is the oldest licensed child care facility in Long Beach and one of the oldest in California. The nursery has two facilities, located in East and West Long Beach, and cares for babies, toddlers and preschool-age children of working parents.
